Timothy's World Coffee, Extra Bold Rainforest Espresso, K-Cups for Keurig Brewers, 25-Count Box (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Disappointed
This was not what I expected. I like Midnight Magic and I thought this would be similar; but it wasn't. It had very little flavor and was not strong enough! I will not buy it again.
Customer Review: Rich, Strong & Flavorful
There is more coffee in these K-Cups than most of the others. We found one other and have been using our Keurig as our everyday coffee maker ever since. We were originally disappointed because we were used to a strong cup of coffee. I tried using less water with the other K-Cups but with these I can use the regular water amount and still have a great cup of coffee. If you like strong these are the K-Cups to buy along with Parisian Nights.

The Perfect Cup

The espresso machine was originated in Italy, and was originally produced by a large machine run by a person called a barista. But, nowadays, you can purchase your very own espresso maker for your home or office. They come in a variety of styles, but all of them essentially do the same thing - produce a delicious cup of espresso. The stove top espresso maker is most commonly used in Italy. This espresso maker is used without electricity, which makes it more portable for those who like to travel. It produces a dark coffee, compared to some of the electrical espresso makers that produce a much lighter smoother coffee.

Espresso Machine Models

The original pump driven machine is quite popular when it comes to espresso bars. It has special chambers for heating and steaming. It provides a motor pump that powers the machine. The automatic espresso maker is designed to automatically make the perfect cup of coffee. It has a programmed timer that only allows a certain amount of water to pass through the tubes for boiling, making it a fast and efficient way to make a quick cup of espresso. And that leads us to the mother of all espresso makers, the super automatic espresso machine. This machine does everything for you including grinding the coffee, all you have to do is fill it with coffee beans and plenty of water and the work is done for you. A cup of espresso is more than just a cup of Joe! It is a smooth creamy cup that makes the day for you.

The espresso originated in Milan Italy, at the beginning of the 20th century, and has been popular in and out of Italy ever since. Starbucks and Caribou Coffee are just a few of the places that sell espressos around the world, including places like France, Spain, and Australia. Espressos are popular in European countries and even in Asian countries. It can be said that all different cultures and all different parts of the world enjoy the same taste of the espresso.

The History of that Perfect Cup

The first espresso maker was designed in 1901, by Luigi Bezzera, the owner of a manufacturing company. This espresso maker was designed to reduce the amount of time it took to have a coffee break. It did brew faster Luigi's machine produced coffee that was bitter and did not taste as well as some of the slower machines. After many tests, he came up with the theory that the steam had caused the bitterness, and that brewing at exactly 190 degrees produced the best coffee.

Though the more modern day machines were based on the invention "The Gaggia Crema Caffe Machine" built in 1947 that brewed even faster then Luigi's model; his machine was still the first big step made toward a faster cup of coffee. After these models, many followed and the popularity grew more.

Since then espresso makers have become a part of the office culture. Espresso makers can be easily bought online, or at your local appliance store. Prices range from two thousand dollars to one hundred dollars, depending on make, model, and grade. But any way you go, the espresso machine is sure to satisfy your need for that perfect cup of espresso.

Customer Review: Sad addition to the Tim Horton's lineup
This coffee is massively weak and the flavour is even weaker. Another reviewer had it right that the flavour has a distinct chemical taste. I don't get a great aroma like the hazelnut for example. This is the first bad experience I've had with any Tim Horton's coffee...at least there are many great ones to choose from.
Customer Review: Not Bad
Actually I ordered this by mistake, but it is not bad. The flavors seem a little on the chemical side. OK for something different.

It is easy giving traditional gifts like flowers and greeting cards but to personalize a gift according to a person's likes is a difficult task. You can easily find the person's interest but to gift them something unique which they don't have and would appreciate and moreover it fits your budget is a challenge for most of us.

If is person is a sports enthusiast, you can gift him something related to his favourite sport, team or player.

These days' people carry around several gadgets with them. These include their mobile phones, mp3 players etc, so instead of carrying around several chargers you can gift an all-in-one charger that recharges about 6 devices at a time. This would an ideal gift for a frequent traveler. You can gift personalized jewellery, especially as a wedding gift. Gifting personalized bracelets with the couples name engraved would serve as a memorable gift.

You can make birthday gifts special by making them memorable. You can gift an adventure trip or a wildlife trail for your friend or young one who is keen on travelling but is refrained by time. Such gift will ensure that he takes out time for it and pursue his hobby. If the person is interested in reading, you can gift books of their favored genre or gift them a digital book reader which will enable them to carry around several books in digital format. This perfectly roasted blend boasts an engaging aroma and inviting spice flavors with a smooth, balanced finish.

Ahhh...The '60's. Long hair. Timothy Leary, Woodstock, and organic foods, not to mention all the vices that came with that generation.

If anything positive came out of my very confused generation (that thought we knew it all at the time), it was a. unique music that is often duplicated, rarely replicated, and an attempt to eat from the earth, that is, more naturally. Health food stores began popping up everywhere and I even owned one. The jury is still out if all the good foods, vitamins, minerals, monthly fasts, etc. counteracted all the nasty chemicals we put into our bodies "out of experimentation". Yes Virginia, I DID inhale, but then again, I'll never run for political office, never plan to, and if you don't like it, that is your issue. I don't do so now.

Even though we did learn some good things out of the Woodstock generations, like "coffee is bad" because it contains too much caffeine and perhaps that is why our "parents were so weird", now we are in the coffee generation.

I can prove quite easily. If I had the power and gave you the choice, two free tickets to a brand new third Woodstock, but if you went, which would include airfare, I would be forced to shut down every major coffee chain in the world. You don't have to tell me. I know what you would pick.

It's like that tough question. How important is the Internet to you? If you had to give something else up, just as important what (or whom) would it be? That's a tough question and one we usually have to ponder.

One good thing about the coffee-age in which we live, is that we also love to make our own gourmet taster rarely drinks chain coffees knowing that they can be stale and that rancidity covered with flavors and chemicals so many of us opt to drink our gourmet coffees at home.

This means enjoying our favorite coffee mugs. Many are even beginning to collect the best coffee mugs on the market. Many can be found on Ebay, Amazon.com and even speciality coffee mug shops. I shop all around, but my favorite are at Just Funny Mugs. They each contain a Londons Times Cartoon on them, and nothing is more fun than to wake up in the morning, get one's caffeine fix, and remember that funny cartoon all day. It can be a double lift.

Cartoonist/writer Rick London launched the Internet's top offbeat cartoon site Londons Times Cartoons in 1997 which receives millions of visitors a year. He's also recently launched Just Funny Mugs http://www.justfunnycoffeemugs.com which feature some of his best work and a major superstore http://www.ricklondoncollection.com His main cartoon site, which features over 8500 original cartoons is at http://www.londonstimes.us

Customer Review: Pretty good stuff!
I love the k-cups and the fact that I can get them in so many different flavors. French vanilla smells and tastes yummy!
Customer Review: Not enough French Vanilla flavor
While the coffee is great, I was expecting the flavor of French Vanilla. It wasn't there. I don't think I'll reorder this one.

Professional Headphones are for the people who make their living with sound, or simply those who can't settle for anything less than the best.

Often DJ's, Drummers, Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, cameramen and sound engineers need to have extreme sound isolation from the outside world and have perfect crisp sound inside their headphones to do their job their best. That's where these professional headphones earn their high price tag.

These headphones have advanced diaphragm systems that eliminate distorted sound and can be hooked directly into a very high quality hi fi system.

Professional Headphones go Cordless:
Now audio professionals have cordless choices. Sennheiser, Sony, JVC, and Acoustic Research are some of the brands at the forefront of technology. You can expect to pay a heftier price for a set of professional wireless headphones, anywhere from $50 to $300 and up.

What a great way to go for the professional though...Cordless Professional Headphones are a must. Drummers, DJ's, cameramen and other pros need their freedom of movement along with the top notch sound quality and isolation from the external environment. The last thing you need is another cord to worry about!

Check out a good headphones review site for side by side comparisons of features. Make sure to choose the features that are most important to you. Some may boast a long range of motion, only to skimp on surround sound abilities and compatibility with certain input sources.

Gamers! Unplug yourself! Gaming headsets are going wireless as well. There is a nice variety out there to choose from.

Gloria Jean's Coffees, K-Cup, Cappuccino for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Bad taste, it's not a cappuccino
I bought a keurig beverage maker, and I love the cappuccino coffee, so I decided to try this version of Gloria Jean's. I'm very disapointed, is not only that is not a cappuccino, it's just flavored, but the taste is bad. it's not enough strong.
Customer Review: Disappointed.
I was so very disappointed with this K cup. There is nothing about this blend that suggests Cappuccino. The flavors seem fake and not pleasing. Sorry I have so much of it.

You can't always be lucky in a storm like Hurricane Ike. These events seem to randomly pick and choose their victims, so I must first state I'm ever so thankful we escaped major damage. That certainly makes a little inconvenience and discomfort in the aftermath easier to bear.

There's also something we did before the storm that's been key in keeping us out of the lines you see on television. We prepared. For this - and for our continued comfort after five days without electricity - I must credit my Southern Louisiana-bred Cajun Hubby, for whom this was not the first rodeo.

I'll admit, though, that his "experienced" hurricane preparation tactics did not at first jibe with my newbie hurricane-readiness ideas. "No plywood on the windows?" I'd ask. "Naw, they're protected enough. What we need is gas," he'd reply. And so on...

So, with an empty porch, stuffed pantry, full tanks in anything that holds fuel, he-man generator, cooler of bottled water, gas stove, hand-crank flashlights and battery-operated candles, full bathtub for flushing the toilet if water is off (good to know), and exposed windows - we faced the storm.

Oh, my!

The following morning, bleary-eyed, I surveyed the damage. Windows, check. Roof, check. Trees, not so check. Neighbors' property, more of the same. Power, off for hours... but what's that rumbling noise I hear outside?

In walks Cajun Hubby, with an array of extension cords snaking from he-man generator. Within a minute, I have a working fridge, fan, coffeemaker, and would you believe it? Dish Network on the flat screen television! We are officially the most popular family on the block - what a man.

Events like this bring out the neighborliness in people, so the roar of chainsaws soon fills the air as everyone pitches in to clear trees and marvel at our area's relative good fortune. My daughter delivers carafes of coffee up and down the street and we thrill to know that, unlike nearby neighborhoods, we still have running water.

Five days later, we're still at it and doing fine. It doesn't concern me (too much) that the neighbors opposite us have had power for two days and we're still rumbling along. It will come. Anyways, Cajun Hubby says it's cool... we haven't tapped the gas in the other Waverunner yet.

I'd say we're good for another week without much worry - and we just may have to be!

Keurig Van Houtte French Roast Coffee K-Cup, 5 Pack

The advantages of K-cups include an airtight seal and cup which locks out light, oxygen, and humidity (all of which adversely affect coffee flavor), a pure paper filter, as well as the ideal grind and measure for that variety of coffee or tea. In fact the patented Keurig K-cup is actually a highly engineered, technologically advanced mini-brewer. For more than eighty years, Van Houtte has been roasting fine coffees according to the traditional European method adopted by their founder, Albert-Louis Van Houtte. They carefully select the choicest beans from around the world and roast them in small batches. Blended and roasted in the European style to develop a rich, full-bodied coffee that is enjoyed at cafés around the world, the superb bittersweet nuances make this European French very special indeed.

There are actually quite a few different types of espresso makers, and which sort is best for you is well, totally up to you! Check out these different types of espresso makers:

Stovetop Espresso Maker A stovetop espresso maker is just about as simple as they can get, and the name is pretty much self-explanatory. A stovetop espresso maker is one that you use over the stove. This is, of course, a benefit since it does not require electricity. It can therefore be used easily by campers and the like. Of course, a stovetop espresso maker is not ideal for everyone, especially since it is usually of the one-cup variety, and it will not give you the foam layer top. But, a stovetop espresso maker does give its user one great shot of espresso at full concentration.

Piston Driven Espresso Maker This fine sort of espresso maker was invented in 1938 by Italian Achille Gaggia. A piston driven espresso maker forces water to flow over the coffee grounds at a very high pressure. This produces the foamy top that is so unique to espresso. Of course, the piston driven espresso maker is likely more often seen in an antique shop than a persons home, these days.

Pump Driven Espresso Maker A pump driven espresso maker is similar to the piston driven espresso maker, but it is more widely used today, especially in commercial settings. A pump driven espresso maker does not use manual force, but rather a motor-driven pump that heats the water as it filters through the coffee. Oftentimes, a pump driven espresso maker is hooked up directly to a buildings plumbing.

Semi Automatic Espresso Machine A semi automatic espresso machine delivers water by a pump, not manual force. The coffee grinding and other such steps are all still prepared manually.

Automatic Espresso Machine and Super-Automatic Espresso Machine Automatic espresso machines are, of course, becoming more and more popular. People like to have things as easy as possible, and on this list of espresso machines so far, this is the easiest to use. An automatic espresso machine does practically everything for you. It will produce essentially the same espresso shot every time. It will even grind the beans and dispose of the spent grounds. All you need to do is turn it on!

Once you have decided which sort of espresso maker is perfect for you, all you need to do is go and buy it! Then you can make your own, fresh espresso daily, rather than heading to the local coffee shop and paying them big bucks to make it for you.

If you are a caffeine junkie, then you most definitely need to have an espresso maker in your own home. Otherwise, you will continuing putting money down the drain, buying your espresso from Starbucks.

Of course, now that you have decided which espresso maker you want, you now need to decide which coffee beans to buy! This can be an even more difficult decision!

When it comes to buying a coffee maker, one that gets you through the morning, there are so many options that it may drive you crazy. Drifting away from Starbucks and the instant stuff, there are machines that can do the job fairly well. But they must pass through a set of criteria.

Simplicity

With coffee makers, as with most machines, simple is always better. You don't want too many switches and buttons and overcomplicated procedures. All you want is a cup of coffee. A simple machine, one designed and tested to do one simple thing, and be good at it, tends to work better than a complicated one.

Function

You want a coffee maker that does the job all the way through, nothing too much, and nothing left half done. Underachievers that don't extract enough flavor, and overachievers that boil the water too much that your coffee gets too bitter; you don't want them.

Type of Coffee

It pays to know what kind of coffee you love to have from your coffee maker. For most brews, drip coffee makers are all right. For espresso, a dedicated espresso machine is the only one that will do. If you want espresso, but don't want to buy a machine for it, a French press can actually do the trick. Percolators are also good, as they're tried and tested. The coffee you want tells you what kind of coffee maker you need.

Cup Size

See if the coffee maker makes a decent-sized serving at one go. Decent-sized is relative. If your morning wake up ritual needs two cups, then see that your coffee maker can deliver just that. Some coffee machines limit themselves to serving sizes that are precise, but are annoyingly less or more than what some need. Make sure what you buy neither serves too little nor overflows your cup and wastes all that coffee goodness.

Reservoir

A good coffee maker should hold enough water for a decent amount of servings at one time. Make sure it can hold a good amount without the reservoir being too big that it takes over the machine. Bad coffee makers tend to have big reservoirs, and cheap machine parts within, just so that they can pass as coffee makers. Do not fall for this. Scrutinize, and choose wisely.

Value

Everyone wants a bargain, but remember that there's such a thing as a balance between the price and the features. Measure the coffee maker's set of features along with its build and its price. This kind of formula is a good rule of thumb. So this means you'll need to check out the slightly costly items, and visit the reputable shops to get the best "balanced" value. It's not just money at stake here, it's your mornings.

Brand

It may not seem necessary, but buying a coffee maker from a reputable brand is much better than buying some run-in-the-mill counterpart (unless you've done a great deal of research behind some new or unknown brands). A branded machine can beat any brandless contraption anytime. That's another consumer rule of thumb there. More of a guide, not a rule. When it comes to build quality, features, and overall design, brands like Bunn, Black & Decker, Cuisinart, Braun, and so on are the best there is.

Easy-to-Clean

Of course, you have to deal with cleaning issues. You want to maintain your coffee maker's service life. Make sure that the crucial parts are washable so that you do not get coffee sticking to them over time. As long as you can wash the important parts like the pot and the reservoir with soap and water, you're good to go.

Portability

You don't want anything bigger than your counter. If you buy something that can sit snugly at the corner of your kitchen, then you'd want to use it day after day, since it doesn't "intrude" in your kitchen space.

Safety

Make sure that there are no exposed electric parts; that everything is properly insulated. Sometimes there are spills, and you don't want a shock when you clean up the spill. See if the handles are cool to the touch and children who fumble with them and won't get burned.

Coffee makers come in many shapes and sizes. Simplify your search of your best coffee maker by setting your criteria of what you want from your machine before you start looking for your perfect coffee maker.

Yogi Shinde offers coffee maker ratings and reviews on different brands and types of coffee makers. Helping your find the best coffee maker to suit your needs.

Here in the West we are massive consumers of coffee. And many of us think nothing of spending four or five dollars at Starbucks for a gourmet espresso, latte or cappuccino.

What few of us think about as we sip our favorite brew is that coffee is grown by small farmers in developing countries. Most of these farmers are paid less for the coffee beans they grow that it costs for them to produce and pick them.

In other words, for every gourmet coffee you and I enjoy, the grower of the beans used is descending into a deeper and deeper cycle of poverty and desperation.

It was in recognition of this cycle that the certification process for fair trade coffee was introduced in 1998.

When you buy a pound of fair trade coffee, $1.26 goes directly back to the coffee growers who grew it.

It doesnt go directly into the hands of an individual grower, but to the cooperative to which he or she belongs. Part of the deal with fair trade coffee is that farmers are required to band together in cooperatives. The money then goes to the cooperative and is shared among all the farmers.

The issue of farmers having to join a cooperative to benefit from fair trade is a complex one, with advantages and disadvantages.

However, the big benefit is that when $1.26 goes to the cooperative, and then to the farmer...they are receiving about the double what they would get outside of the fair trade coffee system.

In other words, when you or I buy fair trade coffee, we are providing the grower with twice the income he or she would normally receive.

Over 100 million pounds of fair trade coffee have now been sold in the U.S. alone. Better still, the numbers are growing fast.

Starbucks now offers fair trade coffees and recently Wal-Mart announced that it would start offering fair trade coffee through its Sams Club outlets.

When Wal-Mart becomes a buyer, you can be sure that the impact on small coffee farmers in Central and South America, East Africa and the Far East will be substantial.

Yes, it will cost you a little more to buy fair trade coffee. But when you pay that little extra, youll be making a real difference to the lives of coffee farmers and their families and communities.

Gloria Jean's Coffees, K-Cup, Swiss Chocolate Almond for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Nothing special
Not much to say about this one. There are so many better flavors out there (see my other reviews). This one is not awful, but it is pretty weak and the chocolate flavor is more a scent than an actual flavor. I can drink what I have, but I won't bother ordering it again. It's actually better if you mix it with another, stronger, "plain" coffee.
Customer Review: Phyl's Shopping Adventure
I came into my office room, clicked a few keys on my computer, and my shopping was completed. Knowing me, I was barefooted and in my nightgown while shopping! I love shopping while still " undressed" and in my own home.

Could you ever resist the craving to have a second cup of that beautiful, strongly aromatic and lazily steaming cup of coffee? Perhaps no one can do it. A passionate Gourmets delight, freshly brewed, thick and dark brown and irresistible coffee just brightens up your day like no other drink or anything else can do.

Why Is Gourmet Coffee So Special

One might be tempted to ask why gourmet coffee is so special. Well, here is the answer. For starters, gourmet coffee is always made by high quality fresh Arabica coffee beans which are always hand picked unlike other commercial coffees which are mostly machine graded. Hand picking of coffee beans eliminate chances for dirt such as twigs, leaves etc to sneak in and spoil your coffee.

Secondly, gourmet coffee beans are specially treated with oils after roasting which enhances its flavor to no end. The oil used for coffee bean treatment is a blend of many natural oils which do not have their adverse effect on the shelf life or stability of the ground powder unlike synthetic oils. The oils are so mixed that their characteristic flavors neutralize each other.

You can have different tailor made roast for your gourmet coffee. Deep roasted beans some what loose their natural aroma and this is why you feel the roasted flavor when drinking it. Rather you would prefer a lighter roasting which retains its entire natural aroma.

Arabica coffee beans are ground to the exact perfection of fineness to get its best taste. But generally a finer grind results in a full-bodied cup of coffee, but as many would like it, coarser grinds are preferred to make coffee with coarse filters.

Finer grinds are preferred by those who like espresso but true lovers of gourmet coffee will almost invariably go with the coarse ground coffee powder as boiled water takes its own sweet time to pull out the flavor completely, especially in drip type filters.

Arabica coffee beans are never stored in warehouses as they are dispatched quickly after harvesting. It is the same story after roasting and grinding them, too. The beans from Arabica trees are, by nature, tastier than Robusta, another cheaper variety.

To its credit, Robusta coffee bean offers you higher caffeine content along with that characteristic acidic taste. Another little known fact is some marketers mix a small percentage of Robusta with gourmet coffee beans.

If you were to carry out a search on Google for "Why an espresso is good for you?" you would be amazed at the search results you would find. In nearly all articles you will see that they are saying the good news is that coffee is good for us after all.

So just what health benefits can I possibly expect from drinking a cup of hot brown espresso. However, what is important that any coffee you do drink must contain caffeine in order for it to work effectively.

The reason it seems that drinking espresso coffee may be beneficial to a person's health is because of the anti-oxidants that it contains and which many people are unaware of. It does not matter whether you are drinking either a straight espresso or a cappuccino they both contain the same amount of anti-oxidants within them. But what is important to remember that coffee is only really good for you if you drink it in moderation. But now let us take a closer look as to why espresso and other forms of coffee are beneficial to a person's health.

Well firstly you are less likely to suffer from diabetes. In fact in data analyzed by Harvard researchers they found that drinking between 5 to 6 cups of coffee each day could slash the chances of men suffering from Type 2 Diabetes by 54% and for women by 30%.

Also in another study carried out by the Scottish Heart Healthy group they looked at 11,000 men and women aged between 40 and 59. It was found that those who drink large quantities of coffee were more likely to lower the chance of them dying from heart disease.

Another reason drinking espresso is good for you is that in studies carried out with regard to Parkinson's disease. It was found that those men who drink between 4 and 5 cups of coffee each day cut the risk of developing this disease by nearly half compared to those men who drink little or no coffee at all.

Until I went looking on the Internet I never realized that drinking something so tasty could be good for my health. So many things that benefit my health long term are not all that much fun. It is refreshing to find something I really like will help me stay in better health. So as you can see there are many reasons as to why an espresso is good for you.

Keurig Single Serve Gourmet Coffee & Tea Brewing System
Customer Review: Keurig B66 Model
Wanted the newest... Replaced a B50, which served us well, and will be recycled to a member of the family. This unit has 3 cup sizes... the largest doesn't fill a mug, thus the 4 star rating. It's going to take at least two brewings to fill a travel mug. The unit works just fine, no problems yet. Easy, convenient, and no wasting pots of coffee. The garden can only drink so much coffee... We drink a medium amount of coffee, but these units have opened up a whole new world of taste and flavor. The My K-Cup came with this unit, so this would be a worthwhile extra purchase. It also works just fine.

Over the centuries, people have found different methods to get the most flavors from the coffee bean into their cup:

Drip: Probably the most popular method in the United States, this semi-automatic brewing style produces a smooth flavor that is clear of sediment. Some people use a gold mesh filter to allow more of the aromatic oils to pass through. Many people notice an improvement in aroma and taste when they use fresh, filtered or spring water (not distilled) rather than tap water. Two tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per six ounces of water is a frequently recommended ratio. Drip machines are manufactured with options ranging from manual operation to an on-board automatic grinder and timer that lets you literally "wake up and smell the coffee". All drip machines operate by distributing nearly boiling water over the grounds, to drip down into a carafe or thermos below. Placing the coffee in a thermos can preserve most of the aromatics for up to a few hours. Some machines don't distribute the water at the recommended range of 195 to 205 F; this can affect the aroma and flavor dramatically.

Vacuum Pot: This elegant brewing technique appears to have originated in France or Germany in the 1830's. The basic design is two glass chambers connected via a "sealed" siphon tube. Heating the water in the bottom chamber, filled to full, forces the water into the top chamber, where it infuses the grounds for 4-5 minutes (use 2 tablespoons of a medium-fine grind per cup of water-too fine will clog the filter). When enough water in the bottom chamber has been pushed up into the upper chamber that the bottom of the siphon tube is exposed, the heated vapor then "gurgles" up through the tube and agitates the coffee brew. Allowing the gurgling to continue more than 1-2 minutes produces a stronger brew in the upper chamber, and creates a stronger vacuum in the bottom chamber. Removing the heat then reverses the vapor pressure and pulls the coffee liquid through a filter and back down the siphon tube into the lower chamber again, leaving the extracted coffee grounds nearly dry. Advocates of this style say it provides great observations of basic physics as well as smooth, aromatic and flavorful coffee.

Pot Press, French Press This style produces a bold tasting coffee, as the oils, and some of the sediment, is poured into the cup. Because some sediment is in the poured coffee, don't go for the last drop! Use about 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per cup of water. Too fine a grind can clog the filter and allow too much sediment to seep into the cup. Pour water, just off the boil, over the grounds inside the press and stir gently. Cover with the filter and let steep for 4-5 minutes, then slowly press the filter down to the bottom. The coffee should be either served or poured into a thermos immediately, as the grounds will otherwise continue to steep, so that it doesn't become over-extracted and bitter.

Diedrich Coffee Morning Edition K-Cups 100ct - K-Cups for the Keurig Brewer. 4 boxes of 25 cups. Morning Edition Blend is a signature blend created by Martin Diedrich to be ideal as a first cup of morning coffee. It is roasted and blended to be hearty, delicious and to bring clarity to anyone's morning. Morning Edition Blend is a full-bodied, full roast with creamy vanilla sweetness, aromas of leather and spice and a hearty satisfying finish.

Introduced just 10 years ago, the Keurig single cup brewing system has successfully answered the question, "Why do we brew coffee a whole pot at a time when we only drink one cup at a time?" Keurig's answer to that question has brought this company to the top of the single cup brewing business with its innovative and versatile system.

Keurig has developed a winning combination: a superior coffee brewer which has a reputation for both durability and delivering a great cup of coffee again and again. Keurig stands for excellence and reliability. Its unique packaging system for coffee, the patented K-cup, insures the freshness of each cup of coffee. Working closely with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the K-cup was developed for use in the Keurig coffee brewing systems. It fits into all of the models and is now marketed in over 17,000 retail and specialty stores, grocery chains, and independent markets. K-cups can be ordered on line from many sources, including Amazon.com, as well as the websites of the diverse coffee roasters, who have partnered with the company, offering their blends in K-cups.

In addition, to Green Mountain, you can find quality coffee from Timothy's, Tully's, Diedrich, Caribou Coffee, and the Coffee People in K-Cups. Emeril jumped into the coffee scene with his Big Easy Bold, French Quarter Roast and Jazzed Up, a Decaf roast. There are several Fair Trade and certified Organic coffees like Newman's Own Organics available in K-cups. Teas from Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Twinings, and Gloria Jean are packaged,as well as cocoas, such as Ballenccino's and Timothy's White Hot Chocolate.

The K-Cup is a unique mini-brewing system in a small container, reminiscent of the individual coffee creamer. Each K-Cup contains an exact amount of freshly ground, 100% Arabica coffee. At Green Mountain, the coffee is packaged within 24 hours of being ground and then passed through a nitrogen flush to remove any oxygen. Each run is checked to be certain that there is less than 2% oxygen in the K-Cups to ensure fresh coffee every time. Next, each K-Cup is sealed with a foil lid, locking in freshness and flavor, and sealing out humidity, oxygen, and light. To let you know just how fresh your K-Cup is, a 'Use By' date is stamped on each one.

When a K-cup is popped into a Keurig single cup coffee brewer, the process starts which will give you a hot, fresh cup of coffee in less than a minute.

If you love coffee then visit Keurig coffee for more information on K-cups and one cup coffee brewers.

Customer Review: EXCELLENT COFFEE MAKER!!
This is one of the best coffee makers that I have ever purchased and was well worth the money. I never knew that coffee making could be so easy now with the K-cups that have the premeasured amount of coffee already. You just pop one of these K-cups in and in about a minute your coffee is in your cup. The flavors are fantastic. You can even make your hot chocolate or teas with the premeasured K-cups, as well. This is truly a must buy for all those who enjoy their coffee. It makes life so much easier now. Buy one and you won't ever regret it. It's the best way to enjoy that cup of coffee that you love!! Excellent!!
Customer Review: Great maker, "Great Coffee
I have to say that I am totally surprised at the quality, ease of use and engineering of this product. I purchsed the B40 because I found myself throwing out as much leftover coffee as my family was drinking. Also my previous maker would always create some kind of cleanup for me daily that was driving me crazy so I did a little research and purchsed the B40. I was concerned at first about the cost of coffee and the availability of the k-cups etc however I find that the cost factor is about the same if you find yourself throwing away coffee everyday as I was. You must also consider that the speed and ease of use, not to mention the fact that you can make what ever flavor each person desires at that moment should deserve a bit of a premium. I think you have to experience having this system for a couple weeks to realize how much fun it actually is. The variety of flavors, blends and roasts should be suitable for everyone. I find the coffee to be delicious and can't understand reviews that are negative about the coffee unless you spent hundreds on a maker as I did and you have to believe your choice was worthy. If you can't find a flavor you love than I am speechless. I wish I had purchased this prior to buying my Capresso maker......

Coffee drinkers have enjoyed smelling coffee's soothing aroma and drinking coffee as a morning treat for thousands of years. It's often used as a "pick-me-up" to get going in the mornings, as a warming drink during cold winter weather, and even as a treat after meals. In recent years, more and more coffee distributors have been exploring different flavors of coffee, trying out new ground coffees and coffee blends. If you're a coffee drinker, here are some ways to enjoy premium coffee to the fullest and its many benefits.

Premium coffee has been around for years, but not quite in the variety that it's available today. Now you can even go online to order almost any type of coffee beans you'd like. You can order world coffee from many different countries to try all the different coffee blends. You can order roasted coffee, strong coffee, or Kona coffee. There are so many types of coffee that the choices seem endless.

Cold and Flavored Coffee

Another enjoyable type of coffee that's popular today is a cold coffee or iced coffee beverage. There are a variety of cappuccinos, which are specially flavored blends of coffee, milk, and other ingredients to create a sweet coffee-like treat. Then, you can try an iced latte, espresso, and other premium coffee beverages as an alternative to milkshakes and other beverage treats. These even make a great treat for kids.... but don't allow them to drink too much coffee or they might bounce off the walls for a while!

Health Benefits of Coffee

There are conflicting beliefs about the health benefits of coffee, but like any other natural food or beverage, the issue is usually "how much" a person should eat or drink rather than "if" they should. Regular, moderate premium coffee consumption has been linked to many health benefits. Studies have shown that coffee drinkers are less susceptive to certain ailments such as Alzheimer's disease, gallstones, diabetes, depression, and Parkinson's disease. There are many natural antioxidants contained in ground coffee and coffee beans. Antioxidants aid in the removal of toxins in our bodies and help prevent disease.

On the negative side, coffee also has extremely high caffeine content. Caffeine can provide a sudden boost of energy, but can also cause long-term health ailments if consumed too much, such as a heart rate increase, high blood pressure, or an irregular heartbeat. Coffee is also highly acidic, which can cause a decrease in oxygen levels in the body and a build up of lactic acid. Luckily for those who need to limit their caffeine intake, there is decaf coffee that has most of the caffeine removed. So as with many natural foods and drinks, drinking coffee in moderation is still the best way to enjoy its health benefits and other benefits as well.

Choose Premium Coffee Online that Excites Your Taste Buds

The good thing about buying premium coffee online is you can obtain the freshest coffee and choose from a number of coffee blends to excite your taste buds. Even coffee drinkers have different preferences when it comes to coffee blends. Ordering premium coffee online enables you to try out all the blends and discover which coffees you like best. And, you can order these from your home at affordable rates. Many of the special coffee blends can't be found at local grocery stores, so you can pick and choose from a wide selection of ground coffee from around the world. Online premium coffee offers you the beverage you've always loved but with more blends and choices than ever. Try out all the great coffees at your favorite online coffee store today.

Customer Review: Keurig Brewing System
I bought this coffeemaker to use at work so I could have an occasional cup of coffee. It is so easy to use and the coffee is so good that occasional has become regular and I have frequent guests who drop by for a cup. I bought this model because it makes coffee in 3 different sizes. However the bigger the cup, the weaker the coffee. If you like your coffee strong, as I do, the biggest size won't do. The K-cups are so easy to use and there are so many varieties and brands. I am buying a second pot to have at home.

Currently, single cup coffee maker is the most popular way of brewing coffee at home. Their popularity is due to its ease of use and the low maintenance that this brewer requires.

However, this machine has one major drawback -it is a closed system. Closed system means when consumers purchased a single serve brewer, they can only use the coffee that comes with this machine.

For example, if you would to purchase a Senseo coffee machine, you would be allowed to use Douwe Egberts coffee and if you are using a Nespresso, you would be using coffee of the same brand.

Most of the folks that likes the ease brought about by the single serve machines, does not mind this minor drawbacks, but similar to any other electronics equipments, there are a small group of people that want to better this product, so for a while there are some underground movement.

Initially, this movement concentrates mainly on Senseo, by giving tips and tricks on how to create your own pods. It was considered unethical and even illegal by the industry. But, as it evolves and the market competition intensifies, broadening the use of the machine was embraced by the company.

Currently, you can practically use any type of coffee using this brewer with the help of device like coffee ducks and perfect pod maker. They allow one to create pods from any coffee that can be used on this brewer.

In fact, perfect pod maker allows you to make coffee pods that can be used on all the single cup machines except for 3 brands. They are Keurig, Nespresso and Tassimo. The unique coffee pods used by these 3 companies disallow any device to replicate its pods.

Not only it is very complicated to replicate the pods for any of these 3 companies, the specialized pods catering to this specific group of consumers also meant that the demand is not high enough to make money for anyone wanting to commercialized their pod makers.

A good example would be the T-disc from Tassimo, on the back for every disc is codes that would calibrate the conditions to brew the beverages. So, a cup of tea is brewed differently from a cappuccino.

Currently, there is no technology available that allows one to customize the coffee pods and include these codes. Similarly for the other 2 brands which has technology that continue to keep their business in a closed system.

But, other than these 3 brands, by using some of the devices available in the market like perfect pod maker, you can brew any coffee you like on the one button technology of the single cup coffee maker.

And, this is the secret which I think should benefit you as a coffee lover so that the next time you are shopping for a single serve machine, this would aid you in making a more informed decision.

Ebenezer Heng, the owner of On Coffee makers does the research for on any machines related to coffee. As long as you are looking for a machines to better your coffee experience, chances are you can find it at http://www.oncoffeemakers.com or simply read more about single cup coffee maker.

Gloria Jean's Coffees, Coffee K-Cup, Variety Pack, Mix of Caffeinated and Decaffeinated for Keurig Brewers, 25-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Gloria, let's kick it up a little!
The labeling is quite misleading as it reads "Mix of Caffeinated and Decaffeinated ". I read that and assume it's going to be at least half and half but it turns out the mix was 19 Caffeinated and only 6 decaffeinated per box...OUCH! Also, GJ's coffees tend to be, for me, on the weak side so unless you like weaker coffee, I recommend staying away from this altogether.
Customer Review: Good product - Good price - Good Balance
Gloria Jean's has always been one of our favorite coffee brand names. The mix of Decaf and Caffeinated K-Cups fits our family well. There is no need to have multiple boxes open. We purchase this product once a month via automatic shipment. The price, however, for a two-pack of 25 K-Cups has risen since we joined the promotion for automatic mailings. The price is still right and we will continue to order automatically as long as the price does not continue to rise. Otherwise we will return to Ebay where the prices are very competitive.

An assortment of three Decaffeinated Signature coffees: SWP Breakfast Blend Vermont Country Blend Decaf Hazelnut Decaf Box contains 8 k-cups of each variety.

Everyone wants a cool Christmas gift, but everyone's interpretation of what is cool varies greatly. For instance, what's cool to a teenager may be totally incomprehendable for an older adult, who's idea of cool may be a gift certificate for an hour massage or a visit to the chiropractor. Gift certificates make great gifts, but it may be better to select a favorite store or shop and let your recipient choose what they want to purchase.

Your taste in gifts should reflect the interests of whom you're buying the gift for, and not what you want from Santa instead. On the other hand, maybe the person you're buying for does share your interests and hobbies. This may create another dilemma; most likely they already have what you have and what they don't have, they don't for a reason. Don't make the mistake of buying something that you would like to receive instead of making the gift choice personal. Unless you absolutely know for sure what to get, a gift certificate is still the best choice. You can even purchase and download gift cards instantly from many internet sites, making it even easier!

So maybe you feel giving a gift card or certificate is a cop-out because you want to be the best gift giver ever! Gift cards can make a cool Christmas gift, you just have to get it from a cool place! Say for example your parents are visiting Martha's Vineyard, the place they met and fell in love. Get them a night or two at a fabulous bed and breakfast or a whale watching tour if it's in season. You can come up with lots of original ideas for thoughtful gifts that will be appreciated forever. If you still find yourself in a quandary go online and get some great ideas by checking out this year's most popular gift ideas. Find unique gifts for everyone without having to leave your home if you don't want to. No crowds, no hassles, and better ideas and deals are at your fingertips. 'Tis the season!

Gloria Jean's Coffees, K-Cup Decaf Butter Toffee Coffee for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: k-cups
The coffee is very good. I don't like to drink it every day, but is a "treat" every now and then. Highly recommend it.
Customer Review: love coffee
We tried butter toffee and really enjoyed it and then found it in decaf. Now we order it both ways. Our company seems to love it too.

So coffee lovers the world over will have different ideas on how to make the perfect espresso, but the following method should produce a good quality cup.

The importance of good water should not be underestimated in making the ideal espresso. The water should be fresh, and should not have been left standing. It should be clean, so filter where necessary. The optimum temperature is just off the boil, at around two hundred and three degrees Fahrenheit.

Choose your coffee carefully. Pick an Arabica over the more common Robusta, which has more caffeine and less taste. An Arabica is a superior bean, and the best types are grown at an altitude of over three thousand feet. Unless you are going the whole hog and roasting the beans yourself, you should ensure you have fresh beans roasted in the past few days. You will be able to identify fresh beans from the smell.

When selecting your roast, it should be a dark, sweet one, such as French, Viennese or Italian. As you can see, the Europeans have the edge when it comes to good espresso roasts.

The beans should be ground in a burr grinder, which has cone shaped teeth on two plates, between which the beans are ground. The space between the plates determines how finely ground the coffee is, a sand-like consistency is ideal.

Try to ensure minimum exposure to the air as oxidation of the coffee reduces the quality and taste. The coffee may also absorb odors from the air which will give it a peculiar aroma and flavor.

A high quality and clean espresso maker is an advantage in making that perfect brew so it is worth investing in a good one that can easily be washed after use.

Once you have the ingredients together the espresso production process is simple. Switch on your espresso maker and run a cup of clean water through the machine, without coffee, just to warm it and ensure the system is dust free.

Add coffee grinds, and compress them slightly, as you might tobacco in a pipe, until they are just springy. Place the hopper securely into the espresso maker and start the process. Your perfect espresso should arrive a few seconds later.

For those that find straight espresso a little too much, you can combine a double shot with warmed and whisked organic milk to produce a cappuccino or latte. This can be topped with chocolate, nutmeg or cinnamon depending on your taste.

Being particularly passionate about roasting, Robert Carlton authored quite a few news on this specific topic. Through his works such as http://www.coffee-espresso-maker-tips.com/espresso-maker.html ,the columnist affirmed his capability on areas relating with espresso maker and cappuccino.

Green Mountain Coffee K-Cups Lake & Lodge, Box of 25 K-cups (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Good coffee!
This is the best cup of dark roasted coffee you're ever going to get from a non- Extra Bold K Cup. It is not bold, and if you are looking for bold, this isn't for you. If you are looking for a bold cup of coffee from a K Cup, I recommend Newman's Own Organics Extra Bold Special Blend, K-Cups for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) or Green Mountain Coffee Fair Trade Organic Sumatran Bold, K-Cups for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) for that. If you are looking here for a medium type roast that has the taste of a bolder roast, this is your coffee. I think that if you brewed the ground Lake & Lodge in a Keurig My K-Cup Reuseable Coffee Filter it would be a great, strong cup of coffee. Nevertheless, this is a good, non-bold cup of coffee.
Customer Review: not what i expected
good price, but not what I expected. This one sits in my carousel for a long time. Does not taste like coffee.

With all of the fanfare that it has been receiving a lot of people have asked the question, "Exactly what does reverse osmosis do?" "What is reverse osmosis?" you ask. Don't worry, by the time that you finish reading this article, you will possess at least a rudimentary understanding of the RO system and what it can and cannot do.

Let's begin with what does reverse osmosis do? The RO system is responsible for filtering large volumes of water by pushing it through a porous membrane filter at high pressure for the purpose of removing minerals and seeable contaminants. Seeable contaminants are those that have a molecular weight greater than that of the water itself.

What is reverse osmosis used for? It originally was designed in order to reduce the number of deaths resulting from exposure to waterborne parasites and bacteria at the turn of the century. Before RO came along the people were at the mercy of the contaminants and were dying at a rate of 174 people out of every 10,000. This number was reduced after RO's inception.

The most significant difference was made after the idea was brought up to disinfect the water with chlorine. The system had only been partially effective up until that point, and from there the numbers greatly improved. Thousands of lives have been saved due to the use of RO.

That's a great history lesson, but what does reverse osmosis do now? It basically serves the same function that it did almost a century ago. Unfortunately for us, it's not doing much better of a job now than it did then. RO by design, simply hasn't been able to keep up with the ever evolving contaminant base that is in our reservoir system.

What is reverse osmosis going to do about this growing contaminant threat? It's not going to do anything about it. The federal government seems for the most part content with having an invention that does little more than de-mineralize cleaning our drinking water. They seem to think that having water barely safer than drinking from a stream is okay.

It must have improved at least a little since it was brought into use so long ago. What does reverse osmosis do better now than it did in the beginning? The membrane filter has improved somewhat so that it can actually filter out smaller objects, but it is still powerless to stop liquid chemical agents or microbial parasites and bacteria.

What is reverse osmosis going to change in order to be able to better combat the contaminants present today? The RO system would have to undergo a major overhaul which most municipalities cannot afford to expend the money to complete. I'm sad to say that without the aid of additional filters that the RO system is not going to be able to help.

The best answer to your question of what does reverse osmosis do is that it doesn't do enough. The safest advice that I can offer to you is to purchase a home water purification system today. The treatment facilities that utilize reverse osmosis technology can't begin to help you, only you can.
